Unlocking the Narrative of Wine

Jean-Trésor believes that wine is more than just a beverage; it's a story waiting to be told. As a sommelier, he weaves the rich narratives of wines into the dining experience, helping guests connect with the essence of each bottle.

Ecclesiastical vibes

Jean-Trésor worked at The Jane, located on the site of a former military hospital dating back to the 19th century that has been re-fitted to feel like a true temple to gastronomy and is no doubt among the most architecturally beautiful restaurants in the world. From design and art to staff uniforms and music, chef-owner Nick Bril enlivens all senses on entering this church to fine dining, where he welcomes up to 200 guests on a daily basis. He has now joined the Bar Misera, which earned a Michelin star less than a year after opening in 2022.

Jean-Trésor's journey into the world of wine started within the very walls of The Jane Antwerp. He initially joined the restaurant during his Marketing bachelor's program at the University of Antwerp. While the first two years were unrelated to wine, everything changed during his third year when the former Head Sommelier, Gianluca, took him under his wing, sparking a deep passion for wine.

To Jean-Trésor, wine represents more than just a beverage; it's a reminder of the intricate fabric of history. Its simplicity and complexity coexist, making it a powerful force that evokes emotions, builds connections, and weaves people together.

In his role as Head Sommelier, Jean-Trésor Vets not only contributes to this grand narrative but also shares this enriching journey with others.
