The Culinary Odyssey: 

Tom's journey into the world of gastronomy began after he pursued a degree in hotel management in Antwerp. He took his first steps as a sommelier at a cosy gastronomic restaurant in Antwerp, honing his skills and deepening his love for wine. His path then led him to the acclaimed Restaurant Zilte***, where he contributed his expertise for several years. 

 

A Sommelier's Triumphs: 

In 2018, Tom achieved a significant milestone by winning the prestigious 'Best Sommelier of Belgium' competition, a testament to his dedication and mastery of his craft. Early in 2019, he assumed the role of Head Sommelier at Hof van Cleve***, further solidifying his position in the industry. 

 

Credentials and Accolades: 

Tom's commitment to wine education led to his DipWSET certification, followed shortly by the title of 'Weinakademiker.' His expertise and contributions to the world of sommeliers earned him the esteemed title of 'Sommelier of the Year 2021' in the culinary guide Gault & Millau.
