Kremser Wachtberg Grüner Veltliner: A Wine of Distinction
The Kremser Wachtberg Grüner Veltliner is a dry quality wine made from highly ripe grapes (21° KMW), delivering an exceptional expression of this iconic varietal.
Youthful Grüner from Winzer Krems made from grapes of high ripeness (21° KMW). Ripe yellow fruit, honey blossom and candied citrus flavours carry on the palate. There’s modest acidity, a hint of sweetness and notes of celery and white pepper. Tempura prawns would make a nice pairing, as would schnitzel.
The Kremser Wachtberg Grüner Veltliner is a dry quality wine made from highly ripe grapes (21° KMW), delivering an exceptional expression of this iconic varietal.
This youthful Grüner shows floral aromatics alongside white stone fruit, green apples and hints of lime. Ripe yellow apple, williams pear, honey blossom and candied citrus flavours carry through on the palate. Modest acidity and a hint of sweetness combine with notes of celery, white pepper and a hint of sweetness which makes it feel off-dry. Oily texture lacks precision, but there’s a pleasing spicy finish.
Best paired with salmon tiradito with avocado cream, drops of lemon, a fresh green salad with crispy prawns and sauce made with citrus flavours. Tempura prawns would also make a nice pairing. Wiener schnitzel must also be mentioned!
