Oloroso VORS

Wine from the Solera of the Espinosa de los Monteros Family

This wine comes from the solera of the Espinosa de los Monteros family, with an average age of 60 years. It is a dry wine aged in American oak casks through oxidative aging. From its beginnings, it was aged under static conditions, but in recent years, it has been transferred to the traditional Jerez system of criaderas and solera.

Tasting
NOTES

Intense mellow fruit quality; hazelnut, walnut, orange zest, dried apricot, raisin and medicinal notes. Deep, rich extract; dried figs, toasted nuts and a beautiful sweet spicy universe with noble leather and wood. Full bodied with alcohol well-integrated, autumnal flavours and a very long finish. This is an outstanding example - a beautifully complex and balanced Oloroso.

Food
PAIRINGS

Best with foie-gras, candied cumquat and cep mushrooms, or Tahini flavoured shortbread topped with parmesan crumble, or a cheeseboard with blue and mature hard cheeses.
