The Bemberg Family Legacy: From Europe to Argentina
The Bemberg family’s journey to Argentina began with Otto Peter Bemberg, a visionary who quickly embraced his new home while maintaining strong ties to his European roots. Wine became a central element of the family’s gatherings, forming a deep connection with the beverage.
Founding Bemberg Estate Wines
In 2010, driven by their passion for wine, the Bemberg family founded Bemberg Estate Wines with the mission of producing unique wines that embodied Otto’s character and vision. They entrusted renowned winemaker Daniel Pi with bringing this dream to life, resulting in exceptional wine parcels that showcase Argentina’s finest terroirs.
Expanding Horizons: Sharing Wines with the World
In 2018, proud of their early successes, the Bemberg family decided to share their wines with the world. They established both a winery and their family home in Gualtallary Albo, a prestigious region known for wines that have earned international acclaim.
Exploring Gualtallary's Unique Terroir
Gualtallary is celebrated for producing exceptional mineral-driven wines, thanks to its high altitude and ancient soils rich in calcium carbonate. The ‘El Tomillo’ Vineyard, located at 1,250 meters above sea level, is a prime example of this distinctive terroir, with its sandy layers, rounded stones, and low water retention capacity, which all contribute to the creation of outstanding wines.
