WBSS 2025 Crest Image

A high intensity Nebbiolo from Torre San Quirico; roses and violets alongside a core of sweet dark fruit. Grippy tannins reflect thirty months in new French oak barriques, whilst tertiary notes of pepper, wild dried flowers and black olive point to nearly a decade of bottle age. Concentrated, integrated, alluring.

SommoClivo

SommoClivo, like a solo performance.

SommoClivo is an elegant and surprising pure Nebbiolo, born from Alessio Fornasetti’s deep passion for winemaking and his desire to break away from tradition, allowing his Nebbiolo to reveal the full spectrum of its remarkable aromatic nuances.

An extra-fine cru Nebbiolo, it embodies the essence of a unique terroir: the morainic hills of the Lombard Prealps at Monte Rosa.

SommoClivo 2013:

An elegant and elusive aromatic charm, sensations that slip away and regenerate, leading to a captivating tasting experience with a touch of mystery. The cuvée unveils itself slowly, with the deliberate pace of one who knows its worth. A complex structure in constant evolution, with soft tannins of seductive elegance.

Tasting
NOTES

High intensity. Powerful perfume displaying roses and violets, a core of sweet dark fruit (blueberries and raspberries) and developed notes of black olive and umami. The palate has texture and grippy oak without losing the fruit and tertiary flavours - pepper, wild notes, dried flowers and black olive. The concentrated fruit is well integrated and the tannins are still tight suggesting potential for further ageing.

Food
PAIRINGS
