A family-owned vineyard
A family-owned vineyard planted exclusively with Shiraz, situated in the premium Greenock sub-region of the Barossa Valley, famed for its rich, full-flavored Shiraz wines. The vineyard is managed to produce low yields (4t/ha - 26hl/ha) of deep-colored, highly flavored Shiraz bunches.
Different sections of the vineyard are harvested and fermented separately in small open fermenters, spending 3–4 weeks on skins.
Following pressing in a basket press, the individual parcels are then barrel-aged separately in 300-litre French and American oak barrels—50% new and 50% one- and two-year-old barrels. After barrel aging, a careful selection of the best barrels and batches is made to produce this Single Estate Wine.
The wine has received numerous accolades from journalists and wine competitions, including the Trophy for Best Barossa Valley Shiraz at the International Wine Challenge (IWC) London in 2022, as well as a 98-point rating from Winestate Magazine in Australia. It has also been awarded 10 gold medals at domestic and international wine competitions, including the Hong Kong International Wine Competition, the Melbourne International Wine Competition, The Drinks Business Global Syrah Masters, and others.
