Barolo Bricco Rocche
WBSS 2025 Crest Image

This youthful Barolo comes from a single vineyard plot, Bricco Rocche, in Castiglione Falletto, which the Ceretto family purchased in 1978. Still playful, with primary floral notes, dark cherries, hints of black pepper and herbs. This is a powerful wine, lean in texture, but just perfect paired with Wagyu steak.

Barolo Bricco Rocche

The position of this plot is unique

In Castiglione Falletto, there is Barolo’s smallest MGA*. It is called Bricco Rocche and, since the mid-1970s, it has been under the sole ownership of our family. The position of this plot is unique, located at the exact center of the designation, and the idea of immersion that it conveys proves to be its first manifesto. We strongly believe, in fact, that the wines produced by this hill harmonise the main characteristics of the entire terroir, almost as though they were obtained by osmosis with the environment surrounding them.

This ideally closed circle is definitively completed in the glass. What emerges is a profound sense of harmony, not at the expense of balance. The olfactory profile is sanguine and austere, arousing and filling the nostrils, while the density of tannins imparts a vigorous, yet succulent and long, mouthfeel.

Tasting
NOTES

Playful, floral and complex with aromas bursting from the glass; dark cherries, hints of black pepper, herbs, ripe secondary fruit tones and wild berries. A powerful wine with concentrated flavours on the palate yet lean in texture with firm, ripe tannins and well balanced acidity. This lighter structure makes a very drinkable style with excellent length. A young wine with great potential.

Food
PAIRINGS

Beef always works well with Barolo - try Wagyu steak with maitake mushrooms and sauce vierge with a touch of pepper, or roasted mallard with winter vegetables.
