Finca Piedra Infinita: A True Mountain Wine
This vineyard is an extraordinary place, set within an even more breathtaking landscape. No one had ever worked these lands before. The producers of Paraje Altamira marked the boundary where the stone allowed them. They once cultivated only the flattest, least stony areas near the town of La Consulta, as moving south and west meant venturing into the highest part of the Tunuyán River’s alluvial fan—a battle against the stone.
We arrived here guided by intuition, drawn by the landscape. We faced that struggle with determination, but also with the humility of knowing we were confronting something infinite.
To make room for the vines, we had to remove more than a thousand truckloads of stone.
It was just the first step on a challenging journey. Cultivating this vineyard requires study, dedication, and an intimate knowledge of each row and each stone. It demands tireless exploration of its immense diversity in order to interpret it through the wine.
These Finca wines come exclusively from our family’s estate vineyards.
Finca Piedra Infinita is a Malbec made from a careful selection of plots that thrive in the vineyard’s shallower soils. It is a true mountain wine.
