WBSS 2025 Crest Image

An unusual take on Alvarinho, fermented in rotator barrels. The result is a fascinating, semi-aromatic white - a medley of tropical fruit, sea salt, lemon, guava, coconut and toasted almonds. Steely and mineral palate, bright acids, super texture and a long, tart, reductive finish. Surely best with Portuguese salted cod.

Revirado

Revirado is an Alvarinho born on the slopes of the mountains surrounding Portugal’s northernmost territory. It ferments and is turned with altitude lees in spin barrels. We could still write more about this wine, but the best thing is to discover it in the glass.

Tasting
NOTES

Semi aromatic white with a medley of tropical fruit on the nose supported by sea salted lemon, guava and quince. Coconut and toasted almond characters hint at a touch of oak. Steely and mineral on the palate with great texture that coats the palate. Bright acidity, lovely minerality and a long, tart, slightly reductive finish.

Food
PAIRINGS

The Cantonese dish char siu fried rice, which is full of sweet, salty and spicy flavours would work beautifully with this wine. Of course the Portuguese salted cod dish, Bacalo al pil pil, is a perfect match too.
