Deep purple in colour. Dark red fruits with hints of Christmas cake on the nose. Rich red fruit follows through onto the palate. The wine is full bodied with firm tannins that give good structure. Drinking well but will improve with more time to integrate.
This wine would work well with grilled and roasted meats, especially those cooked over an open fire. There is enough sweet spice in the wine to match with sauces that are infused with clove, nutmeg and cardamom.
