The Bemberg Family Legacy: From Europe to Argentina
The Bemberg family arrived in Argentina from Europe, led by the inspirational figure of Otto Peter Bemberg. Otto quickly identified with the country while maintaining strong diplomatic ties with his European origins. Wine became a central part of the family's gatherings, leading to a deep bond with the beverage.
Founding Bemberg Estate Wines
In 2010, the family's passion for wine led to the creation of Bemberg Estate Wines, with the goal of producing unique wines bearing Otto's imprint and personality. Renowned winemaker Daniel Pi was entrusted with the task of making this dream a reality, resulting in exceptional wine parcels reflecting Argentina's best terroirs.
Expanding Horizons: Sharing Wines with the World
Proud of the initial results, the Bemberg family decided to share their wines with the world in 2018. They established both a winery and their family home in Gualtallary Albo, a prestigious area known for wines achieving international recognition.
Exploring Gualtallary's Unique Terroir
Gualtallary is renowned for producing outstanding mineral-driven wines due to its altitude and ancient soils with high calcium carbonate content. The 'El Tomillo' Vineyard, located at 1,250m in Gualtallary, exemplifies this unique terroir with its sandy layer, rounded stones, and low water retention capacity.
